The 2nd KASUMI Dojo Seminar Successfully Held

On September 29, 2026, the “2nd KASUMI Dojo” seminar was held, jointly organized by three laboratories.

This event was primarily led by Mr. Maeda (D2) from our laboratory, along with Mr. Suzuki (D2) from the Kotake Laboratory and Mr. Yamamoto (D2) from the Morioka Laboratory.

The seminar featured lively discussions through poster presentations, fostering active exchanges beyond laboratory boundaries.

We were also pleased to welcome Mr. Aoi Taniguchi and Ms. Haruka Hoshi as special guest speakers. Both are fifth-year students in the integrated doctoral program at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyoto University, and are currently affiliated with the Nagase Laboratory at Hiroshima University. They shared their research as well as their motivations for pursuing a doctoral degree and the rewards of doctoral research. Their talks provided students with a valuable opportunity to reflect on future career paths.

From our laboratory, Mr. Taichi Ono (M1) received the Poster Presentation Award, while Mr. Yamaguchi (M2, for the second consecutive year), Ms. Nishimura, Mr. Xiuyuan, and Mr. Ryota Ono (B4) received the Best Question Award.

We hope that KASUMI Dojo will continue to promote exchanges among laboratories and foster active scientific discussions in the years to come.
